'DEATH DANCE' is what a 3 star book is all about. I would say that if this is her worst effort, then Linda Fairstein is a very good writer. I am anxious to read more in this Alex Cooper series. Read more. 3 people found this helpful.

Helpful. Comment Report abuse. Cottons death dance book Harringtons/5(51). Following on directly from the events of their previous book, Brimstone, Dance of Death finally introduces a character referred to in past novels, Pendergast's diabolical younger brother Diogenes.

Regular Preston & Child readers will know that Diogenes, the yang to Pendergast's ying, has pledged to pull off a perfect and terrible crime and /5(). The title I read this book under is "The ballad of Lee Cotton" and the story certainly has the richness and lyrical charm of a ballad.

I loved the way the author repeatedly takes events to the brink of disbelief only to come up with a plausible explanation just in time/5. Another Pendergast book, which means you all know what its time for: a food metaphor.

(Note to those just joining our program: for reasons even Im hard-pressed to explain, I compared the experience of reading Relic, the first Pendergast book, to eating a hot since felt compelled to use food metaphors for each subsequent book, because food metaphors seem like a natural and rational /5.
